Ah, yes. June Hayward. Possibly the biggest a-hole I've ever had to read about. Basically, it's the opening of Yellowface, but in Athena's POV. I just thought this would be an interesting perspective to write from, so here you go!
Before you get into this, it’s been a little while since I read this book (I’m talking like a few months), so I am a little fuzzy on the details. On top of this, I have taken a few creative liberties with the story, so I apologize if you don’t like that.
Also, I did use some of R.F. Kuang's original lines to try to stick with the main details in the story, so all credit goes to the original author.
